Dahlia drove to Johnny's place. She and Donald were the only ones in the car. The decoys had filled other cars, gone in other directions.
"This guy is dangerous," she warned him as they walked to the door of the basement apartment, not because she thought he was in danger, but so he would know that Sarah was in danger.
"Who is he?" asked Donald.
"You heard of Rota Fracta?"
"Yeah."
"He's a member."
"He's a terrorist?"
"I guess so. He's the type who could kill Sarah right in front of your eyes, before you had a chance to react."
"Oh my God. How do you know he has Sarah?"
"Just a hunch," she answered. As always, Dahlia felt no pain in Donald's presence. This was a hint of the eternal bliss they would share in Heaven. She knocked on the door.
Johnny opened it. "I thought you'd never get here," he said.
