Guidelines for the Black Yak Poetry Contest

Manuscripts must be no less than 20 and no more than 130 pages in length. Each page must contain at least one original thought or a table of contents or an appendix. Additional pages will not be included in the above count, but filesize totalling more than 1 Megabyte may lead to prosecution under Federal law, or a court of our own choosing.

As this is a poetry contest, submissions containing poetry will receive preference, but detailed journal entries are encouraged. Do not send anything that requires a response, such as questions. We are always eager, however, to read something that will provoke a response.

All submissions must be sent to contest@blackyak.com. Submittors must be willing to submit several times in many different formats until the judges are appeased. All decisions are final, arbitrary and tardy. The first place winner will be published by Pressed Yak Productions, a division of the Black Yak Company, as the publisher sees fit. There is an excellent chance the winner's work will be published on the World Wide Web as this is much cheaper.

Bribes and other pleasant forms of extortion will be considered.
